Main Street Station Wedding: Nina + Adam (Richmond, VA)

Exquisite details, wonderful spring weather, lovely couple - Adam and Nina's wedding was nothing short of perfect. The wedding's classic blue and white theme was beautifully styled by Merriment Events - from the bride's bouquet, to pretty framed signages at the reception, down to the pattern-lined trays holding their signature drinks. Gorgeous!

Special thanks to Jennifer Colina for inviting me to second shoot.

Enjoy! :)

Country Club of Virginia Wedding: Kris + Jim

This wedding is memorable to me in so many ways.

First of all, Kris and Jim's love story is truly inspiring. They have such a big beautiful family and they are all so much fun to shoot - I wish they'd adopt me! Kidding aside, I hope my photos are able to give you a glimpse of that special bond their family share. :)

This is also the first wedding that I second shot for Jennifer Colina Photography (you know what they say about first impressions). To say that I was out to impress is an understatement.

Also during this wedding did my 50mm 1.4's autofocus stop working same with the ETTL system of my flash/camera. And that's not all folks... one of my CF cards also got corrupted. gasp! Mercury freakin' retrograde at its best!

But despite of it all, I didn't disappoint. I pushed on, resorted to my backups, and worked through the whole thing like Tom Hanks' character in Castaway. Yes, I believe I may have talked to myself several times during the whole ordeal.

Hope y'all enjoy the photos. :)

Getting ready: Jefferson Hotel (Richmond, VA)
Ceremony: St. Patrick Catholic Church (Church Hill)
Reception: Country Club of Virginia (Richmond, VA)

Marvelous stained glass ceiling at the Jefferson.
Peacock feathers on Kris' shoes! Love!!! (Pin away ladies!)
She also wore her mother/grandmother's garter.
Pearls from the groom and heirloom brooch for the bride's bouquet.

Love the subtle references to their favorite French vacation spots.

PS: I'm trying out a new (old) watermark. Just because.
Which one do you like better?
